The Upper Pacuare is the most difficult section of Pacuare River. This kayaking trip will be a 9 mile river descent in class III, IV / V. There are many technical rapids with steep drops in this jungle canyon. Hydraulic Blood, Entrance to Bobo, and the Bobo Fall are the major class V rapids on this section. However, you can walk around them in case you feel unsure. The rest of this kayaking section is class III / IV with incredible jungle scenery, wildlife, and clear warm water that makes this river a kayaker’s paradise.
Our whitewater kayaking trip include: Transport from San José - Cartago - Turrialba. Breakfast is included only for those who are coming from San José. Lunch is provided on the river for everyone. Top of the line river gear, only experienced guides, and a private photographer ready to capture the awesome natural beauty and the amazing collection of memories for you to take home.
When we get back to our office in Turrialba, we play a slide show of your kayaking pictures. CD’s and DVD’s will be for sale at the office. It takes about one hour to get to the river from our office in Turrialba, one and half hours to return.
