Day 1 ≈ Optional Mountain Bike descent to the river put in, Whitewater Rafting, River Hikes, Fishing & Jungle Lodge [top]
After a delicious breakfast, we will prepare for our river journey to the Pacuare River. We continue on the way to the Pacuare River, which has been recognized as one of the top five most beautiful rivers around the world in the National Geographic magazine.
We will have the option of mountain biking down to the put in when we arrive to the main entrance of the Pacuare River. This bike ride will be about 3 miles long. This ride includes a support vehicle for immediate assistance, so there's no need to worry! It will be about a 1/2 hour ride through beautiful farms, and agriculture fields around the mountains, and primary/secondary-growth forests. You will enjoy the amazing views of this tropical paradise. If you are an experienced bike rider, we invite you to bring your own cycling shoes and pedals. We can install your pedals on our mountain bikes for an even better ride.
For this rafting trip we will descend 21 miles down river. The trip starts at eight hundred meters above the sea level and finishes at forty meters. The Pacuare 3 days trip is very beautiful. You will be able to spend more time on the river and at the jungle lodges, where you can take pleasure of exotic birds and wildlife.
The first day we will raft 7 miles and have two river hikes. We will enjoy a delicious river lunch before we get to the campsite. After some great hikes and wonderful rapids, you will arrive at our remote campsite created along a mountain overlooking the Pacuare River.
There are 15 tents spaced at a comfortable distance from each other to allow breathtaking panoramic views. The Pacuare Jungle lodge is a wonderful place to enjoy the view of the surrounding tropical environment. A 20 person bar with a balcony and hammocks to sit back and relax in. Full shower and bathroom facilities are available, with nearby hiking trails and riverside beaches. After settling into camp, you are free to go swimming, fishing, explore the jungle or just sit back in a hammock and relax. We will enjoy happy hour with free drinks and snacks. Dinner is prepared by your river guides.
Day 2 ≈ Waterfall hikes, Whitewater Rafting, Rappelling, Jungle lodge & Fishing [top]
After breakfast at the Jungle lodge, we will have an optional hike to the beautiful waterfall near the campsite. After this activity, we will pack our belongings and continue our river journey. We will leave the lodge and enjoy a wonderful morning along the Pacuare River, observing and listening to the many species of birds and wildlife.
Today we will raft 7 miles and enjoy a waterfall hike. We will be rappelling down two waterfalls and we will enjoy a delicious river lunch before we get to the next campsite.
Our rafting trip continues down the most challenging section of the Pacuare River with 3 class IV drops. This spectacular river canyon and virgin rainforest is breathtaking, creating one unforgettable experience. There will be many opportunities for swimming or relaxing next to the river before we arrive to the next campsite. After settling into camp, you are free to go swimming, fishing, explore the jungle or just sit back in a hammock and relax. We will enjoy happy hour with free drinks and snacks.
