I requested an adventurous trip with white water rafting, beach activities and a tour of the countryside. What we got exceeded our expectations! I had my reservations about going to another country and devoting nine days to spend with someone I never met. I can put any concerns at ease. Jeremy and his staff - Brother Julian, sisters, Christian, Mario and their friends are the absolute best!. Very professional, wonderful people that I am happy to say are our new friends who we look forward to seeing again. They made our trip a memory we will cherish for a lifetime.
Some travel tips: Travel light, plenty of sun screen, bring a nice camera and a sense of adventure. No worries about the food, you can eat anything there and drink the water - its pure.

"I went last fall with Costa Rica Adventures and had a blast! It is a much smaller company than Rios Tropicales, but that made for a great trip. The guy who runs it, Jeremy, is awesome: a kick ass kayaker, super friendly and very knowledgable about the area. They also gave us the option to customize our own trip (we spent two days learning to surf in the ocean) which was really cool. The only way I know of how to contact them is their website, www.costaricaadventures.net, but once we got there the trip was amazing - mountain lodging, good food, etc. Check them out and good luck."

I got Jeremy's name from the Coastal Canoeist board. He is living here in VA, his family lives in Costa Rica / owns Costa Rica Adventures. Jeremy is a boater, you can even find his photo in a couple of places in the guidebook, "Chasing Jaguars". (upper Pacuare)
He put the trip together for us, everything we wanted to do. We are only novice kayakers, and didn't have much time, so we chose to spend one day in IKs on the Pejibaye River, and two days rafting on the Pacuare. Gear, guides, support kayakers, and "jungle lodge" were all great!
Food and transport were great, too. We can't wait to go back and spend more time, we will definately go with them again!
